The MA tax holiday allows for the tax-free purchase of merchandise and retail items for the entire weekend. As long as no individual item exceeds $2,500, you can enjoy tax-free shopping throughout the state of Massachusetts.
What is excluded from the MA tax holiday?

- Motor vehicles
Tax-free shopping will not apply to items that are placed on layaway or ordered during the tax holiday. Only items of tangible personal property are eligible, and they must be acquired within the allotted time period of Saturday, August 20th-Sunday, August 21st. So mark your calendars!
